Life after my Stroke

Life after my Stroke

January Simpson

Hi, I'm January and I own Pop Culture SocieTea with my husband, James. My life took an unexpected turn when I experienced a mild to moderate stroke in June, just 10 weeks ago. Fortunately, we acted quickly and sought medical attention, allowing me to heal rapidly. This experience, though challenging, has led me to reevaluate my priorities and embrace life in a new way.

What changes have I made?

After my stroke, I realized the importance of slowing down and savoring each moment. I made the decision to let go of things that were not essential in my life and focus on what truly matters. My family have become my top priority.

How has my perspective shifted?

Before the stroke, I was constantly on the go, juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities. Now, I approach life with a newfound sense of gratitude and appreciation. I take the time to enjoy the simple things and finds joy in the moments spent with loved ones.

What lessons have I learned?

Through this challenging experience, I have learned the importance of self-care and listening to my body. I now prioritize my health and well-being, making time for relaxation and activities that bring me joy. I have also discovered the power of resilience and the ability to bounce back stronger than ever.

Overall, my journey after my stroke has been one of growth, reflection, and gratitude. I have emerged from this experience with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of life. By embracing the changes that have come my way, I have found a new perspective on life and business that has enriched us in ways I never imagined.
